Officers need quality lessons in community policing. Most notably, department practices exerting control on citizens and most officers are deterring citizens from participating or appreciating the community. They're not selective - they harass EVERYONE.
UPDATE: I left the review below but as I discuss my concerns with people in my community, I am learning that this is suburbia and it is just like this. It's very strange to those of us that move from the city. We want peace and quiet, but I was not aware it came at this cost. It feels like there is too much negative police interactions but that is exactly how people want it here.
All of my dealings with The Colony Police have been professional and courteous. I appreciate their obvious presence that helps keep our community safe.
I know that the colony Police discriminates as to who they pull over and search cars. This is called Illegal Search and Seizure. Fight them, you will win.
Great response time. Always polite and considerate. I am grateful to live in a city with such a wonderful police force.
